METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RESTORATION OF SPEECH AT COMPLEX MOTOR AND EFFERENT MOTOR APHASIA BY MEANS OF PROPRIOCEPTIVE CORRECTION Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61H1/00

SUBSTANCE: method of restoration speech at complex motor and efferent motor aphasia by means of proprioceptive correction is based upon application of methods directed onto restoration of switch and search articulation abilities, reduction in number of perseverations and paraphasia, when patient does traditional logopaedics exercises for lips and chicks as putting lips into "point", rounding lips, pulling chicks in and out, done during 10 minutes at accelerated and slowed tempo 2 times a during total course of rehabilitation lasting for 1 month. Additional significant improved load onto articulation and mimic muscles of both halves of face is created by means of application of device. Device for realization of the method has helmet-mask; elastic rubber thrusts are attached to helmet. Forced way of putting lips aside to make a smile is created by means of elastic rubber thrusts attached by hooks-fixer at angles of top and lower lips from the right and from the left.

EFFECT: improved switch and search abilities; reduced number of paraphasia and perseverations.
