FIELD: measuring technique.

SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic level meter is mounted vertically inside the tank filled with the fluid and comprise housing (1), basic float (2) with first magnet (3), auxiliary float (4) with second magnet (5), sound duct (6) made of magnetostrictive material, voltage stabilizer (7), signal electroacoustic converter (8), reflecting magnet (9), two arresters (10) of movement, record amplifier (11), reading amplifier (12), computing unit (13), indication unit (14), and control bus (15). When fluid changes its level inside the tank, the position of floats (2) and (4) with magnets (3) and (5) changes with respect to acoustic duct (6) thus changing the output digital signal (code) that is generated by computing unit (13) and is displayed by indication unit (14). Second float (4) with magnet (5) is used for measuring density of the fluid in the tank. The temperature component of measurements is corrected with the use of logarithmic converter in a wide range of values.
