FIELD: the invention refers to measuring technique and is designed for automatic measuring and control of the level of aggressive medium in closed reservoirs of industrial control.
SUBSTANCE: the ultrasound level meter has a reservoir 1 with working medium 2 and a directional plane 3, a float-level element 4 with a pair of constant magnets 5, a limiter 6 of transferring, a magnetostrictive acoustic line 7 with a reflective load 8, two electroacoustic transformers 9, a recording generator 9, a reading amplifier 11, a coding and calculation block 12, an indication block 13 and a bus-bar control 14. The changing of the of the level of the working medium 2 in a closed reservoir 1 challenges the changing of the location of the float-level element 4 with magnets 5 relatively to the acoustic line 7 fastened from the exterior side of the lateral surface of the reservoir 1. In the excitation process of the acoustic line 7 with the signals of the recording generator 10 at the output of the reading amplifier 11 time-impulse signals are formed, identically reflecting on a time axis the position of the float-level element 4 with the magnets 5 in the reservoir 1. In the coding and calculation block 12 their transformation into a digital code and its correction is executed according to a temperature component of the error of measuring. The indication block 11 reflects the received data.
EFFECT: increases noise immunity, reliability and accuracy of transformation of the level of liquid medium and expands functional possibilities.
