FIELD: radio engineering, possible use in local wireless networks in 802.11 standard, telecommunication systems in 802.16 standard, and also in other OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) systems.
SUBSTANCE: in known OFDM systems, distance connections between pilot symbols in time and frequency areas are predetermined fixed values. However, maximal signal delay in multi-beam channel and Doppler shift of the signal may vary. Distance between pilot symbols in time and frequency areas is selected, as a rule, for largest maximal signal delay in multi-beam channel and largest Doppler signal shift. This results in reduction of transmission speed of useful information in communication system. Therefore in the claimed invention distances between pilot symbols in time and frequency areas are variable values, which change depending on maximal signal delay in multi-beam channel and Doppler signal shift.
EFFECT: increased speed of data transmission in communication systems.
