FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: in this method, a certain diversity transmission mode is selected for each one or more data flows to use one of several possible transmission modes. These transmission modes may include the frequency division transmission mode, the Walsh diversity transmission mode, or the space time transmit diversity (STTM) transmission mode. Each diversity transmission mode transmits data with time, frequency, or space redundancy, or their combination. Each data flow is coded and modulated to present the modulation symbols, which are additionally processed based on the selected division transmission mode to present the transmission symbols. For the orthogonal frequency multiplexing (OFM), the transmission symbols for all data flows are additionally modulated using the OFM to present a transmission symbol flow for each transmitting antenna used for the data transmission.

EFFECT: provides possibility to use several diversity transmission modes depending on receiving device functionality and channel state.
