FIELD: engineering of position detection systems.
SUBSTANCE: method includes receipt by specific-purpose user equipment (UE) of a position request, initiated by a pretender, and transfer of position report to LCS system after detection of occurrence of an event which launches position report; return of position report confirmation by LCS system to specific-purpose UE after receipt of position report provided by specific-purpose UE. Additionally, when providing a position report to LCS system, specific-purpose UE starts the timer, which determines time period, and evaluates, whether it received a position report confirmation, returned by LCS system, within a certain time period, and if so, stops the timer which determines a time period; otherwise, transfers position report to LCS system once more and restarts the timer which determines time period.
EFFECT: reduced number of errors during transfer of position reports, reduced indeterminacy in realization of LCS.
