SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to obtain the picture according to standard protocol T1 with parameters: TR-340, TE-26, the quantity of sections - 7, the thickness of sections - 3 mm, the field of view - 230, the matrix of the picture corresponds to 192×256. Additionally, it is necessary to obtain hypophyseal picture in sagittal sections at the quantity of data collection - 5. Hypophyseal volume should be estimated according to the following formula: where Vh - the volume of any hypophysis; 3.3 - the coefficient of the preset section, - the sum of all areas of the sections passing through the hypophysis. The innovation enables to determine the volume of hypophysis more accurately.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of detection.
