SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict the development of hypopituitarism in pituitary macroadenomas. A study of the patient's visual fields and magnetic resonance imaging of the sellar region are performed to determine the size and spread of the tumour. At the same time, such prognostic markers as signs of chiasmal compression and chiasmal syndrome are identified. The vertical size of the tumour and tumour volume are also assessed as prognostic markers. If compression of the chiasm, chiasmal syndrome, vertical tumour size of 22.5 mm, and tumour volume of 4,472 mm³ are simultaneously detected, the development of hypopituitarism is predicted.

EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of predicting the development of hypopituitarism in this category of patients due to the simultaneous identification of certain prognostic markers.
