FIELD: fixed rounds.

SUBSTANCE: the round has a cartridge case with a primer cap, shell made with a boat-tailed base consisting of a cylindrical section and a tapered tail, bottom recess for placement of the propellant charge, external cavity enclosed between the round inner surface and the external surface of the tail and connected to the bottom recess by a by-pass duct. Lugs are made in the cartridge enveloping the end section of the tapered tail with formation of a ring-shaped by pass duct separated by these lugs.

EFFECT: enhanced stiffness of the round in the radial direction, whose shell has a cylinder-tapered boat-tailed base with a small length of the cylindrical section.
