SUBSTANCE: method involves insertion of elongase-encoding gene or its homologue, derivative or analog, or construction comprising this gene in microorganism, animal or plant. Expression of this gene results to activation of biosynthesis of aliphatic acid in organism, namely, it provides elongation of fatty acid molecule comprising 16, 18, 20 or 22 carbon atoms and with at least two double bonds per at least two carbon atoms. Invention can be used in preparing the oil composition and/or aliphatic acids with the high content of polyunsaturated acids.
EFFECT: improved preparing method.
