FIELD: motor road maintenance and repair, particularly to predict asphalt-concrete road paving rutting and type of paving repair.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining minimal distance between rut depression surface and adjacent rut convexities in transversal paving profile; comparing the obtained rut dimension with threshold values and detecting paving zones to be repaired if H1>H2, where H1 is maximal rut dimension, H2 is threshold rut dimension, mm. Method additionally involves determining rut depression cross-section area Sd and that of rut convexities Sc. The depressions and convexities are created in road paving profile with respect to initial paving profile line and taking into consideration deformation of underlying road paving layer materials. If Sd/Sc>1.1 total road paving repair is destined. Here Sd is rut depression cross-section area, Sc is that of rut convexities adjoining rut depression, cm2.
EFFECT: possibility to detect rutting reasons and to soundly destine repair works.
