FIELD: manufacture of magnets, including composite ones, for electric motors and miscellaneous actuating mechanisms.
SUBSTANCE: proposed nano-composite magnet has composition presented by formula (Fe1 - mTm)100 - x-y-z-w-n(B1-pCp)xRxTizVwMn, where T is Co and/or Ni; R is rare-earth element; M is at least one element of Al, Si, Cr, Mn, Cu, Zn, Ga, Nb, Zr, Mo, Ag, Ta, and W group. Molar fractions of x, y, z, w, n, m, and p meet following inequalities: 10 atom percent < x ≤ 15 atom percent; 4 atom percent ≤ y < 7 atom percent; 0.5 atom percent ≤ z ≤ 8 atom percent; 0.01 atom percent ≤ w ≤ 6 atom percent; 0 atom percent ≤ n ≤ 10 atom percent; 0 ≤ m ≤ 0.5 and 0.01 ≤ p ≤ 0.5. Magnet incorporates magnetically hard phase with crystalline structure, type R2Fe14B, and magnetically soft phase. At least one index of coercivity and maximal energy product of nano-composite magnet is higher by at least 1% than that of magnet having no vanadium in its composition. Alloy of desired composition is produced by fast cooling down. For powder production this alloy is pulverized. Nano-composite magnet is produced by compacting this powder.
EFFECT: enhanced magnetic characteristics.
