METHOD FOR CUTTING OF ROUND BALE OF STALKED MATERIAL AND ROUND BALE CUTTING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A01F29/00 

FIELD: agriculture, in particular, mechanization of labor-consuming processes in feed production.

SUBSTANCE: method involves fixing round bale of stalked material in horizontal position while stretching stalks across circle of bale; sawing round bale along longitudinal generatrix; providing gravitational movement of working tool with cutting members from the top to the bottom in the process of cutting; in order to stretch stalks, sawing round bale while it is in suspended state and fixed by its core. Round bale cutting apparatus has frame and drive chain saw connected to frame by means of holders and provided with cutting plates. Saw is positioned transverse to longitudinal axis of frame and is connected to holders by means of balancing devices fixed thereon. Saw lifting mechanism has hydraulic cylinders designed for binding of holders with frame and provided with flexible pipeline. Round bale fixing device is formed as L-shaped levers kinematically connected with frame through additional hydraulic cylinders.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in cutting of round bale owing to preliminary stretching of stables in upper part of round bale, and reduced consumption of power.
