FIELD: medical industry.
SUBSTANCE: enterosorbent represents a powder with particle size 0.1-1.0 mm obtained from inner birch bark subjected to extraction and treatment with aqueous alkali solution. Particularly, inner birch bark is first ground and then extracted with a series of solvents: hexane, ethyl acetate, isopropyl alcohol, and water before treatment with 0.5-2.0% alkali solution at 60-100°C for 0.5-1.0 h followed by washing with water, thickening, and drying to air-dry state.
EFFECT: enlarged assortment of enterosorbents obtained from vegetable raw material and utilized woodworking waste.
