FIELD: construction, particularly underground passages, elongated underground and underwater tunnels and so on.

SUBSTANCE: method involves laying tunnel sections on previously excavated trench bottom with the use of erection piles, wherein the erection piles are screw piles with hydraulic articulation heads installed at section ends; connecting tunnel or underground passage sections to the piles; aligning the sections; installing fastening screw piles; removing erection piles. Before section laying the erection piles are installed at inlet of one section of section pair to be connected so that two piles are located from both sides thereof. Adjustable section laying beam is installed on each erection pile pair. After section laying fastening screw piles are mounted from both section sides and sections are secured thereto. Underground passage or tunnel section comprises case, transversal and longitudinal stiffening ribs, which create cells having widths of not more than 3 m. Longitudinal stiffening ribs have heights exceeding that of transversal ones. Fastening ribs have heights exceeding that of transversal ribs in area of section connection to pile.

EFFECT: simplified tunnel construction, decreased construction time, increased tunnel reliability and operational safety.
