FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: according to invention, proposed internal combustion engine has body, at least pair of coaxially arranged working cylinders with compressing cylinder ion between, system to feed fuel-air mixture communicating with compressing cylinder, and ignition system. Compressing cylinder is provided with ring slot in middle part and is connected by channels with working cylinders scavenging system. Pistons of working cylinders are rigidly intercoupled by rod in middle part of which compressing piston is rigidly secured, being rigidly coupled with levers arranged in guide holes of engine body parallel with cylinder axis. Pair of brake cylinders is arranged coaxially with pair of working cylinders, in bottoms of which adjusting screws are fitted. Pistons installed in brake cylinders are rigidly interconnected by rod which is rigidly secured in middle part of bar rigidly fastened on levers. Levers provided with rigid coupled with compressing piston are hinge-connected by swinging lever with neck of crankshaft whose axis is square to axis of cylinders.
