FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to piston machines with a motion converter without a connecting rod and can be used in their structures. The essence of the invention consists in the fact that a radial engine comprises a casing with at least six cylinders installed on it, a guide unit interacting by the surfaces of its elements with the piston rods is placed inside and fixed in the casing, a crankshaft is installed in the guide unit and is fitted by cranks which are evenly distributed along the circle with the centre being set in the axes of its extreme journals and the number of cranks corresponds to the number of cylinder pairs. The crankshaft provides for axial rotation of the extreme journals and orbital revolution as per the radius of pistons' stroke quarter and ensures the movement of piston systems and connecting rods coupling them by means of the cranks. The extreme crankshaft journals at the radius of pistons' stroke quarter are pivotally coupled with the levers of the working shaft consisting of two parts. Therewith the working shaft parts are synchronized by even distribution of loads from gas forces affecting the journals of the crankshaft cranks on both sides from its centre, and the working shaft parts are take-off shafts for the power being evenly distributed between them.
