RADIOGRAPHIC ARRANGEMENT Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC G01N23/04 G01N23/06

Abstract RU 2312327 C2

FIELD: the invention refers to detection of concealed articles, substances and materials.

SUBSTANCE: the radiographic arrangement has in essence a source of monoergic high-speed neutrons generated in the reactions of synthesis of deuterium-tritium or of deuterium-deuterium having a pressurized tube or an analog generator for creating neutrons, a separate source of x-ray radiation or gamma-radiation for radioscopy of the object, a collimation block, surrounding the source of neutrons and the sources of x-ray radiation or gamma-radiation, for emanation of fan-shaped beams of radiation, a detector matrix having a collection of separate scintillating picksels for reception the energy of radiation emanated by corresponding sources. At that the detector matrix is leveled with fan-shaped beams of radiation emanated by the collimator of the source and collimated in order in essence not to allow radiation except coming directly from the sources to achieve the matrix, means of transformation for conversion light impulses generated in scintillators into electric signals, means of transportation for transport the object between the sources and the detector matrix, a calculating device for definition on the basis of the electric signals the attenuation of the beams of neutrons and x-ray radiation or gamma-radiation and for regeneration of the output signal expressing distribution of the mass and the composition of the object being between the sources and the detector matrix and means of reflection for depiction of images on the basis of distribution of the mass and the composition of the scanned object.

EFFECT: more properly identifies substances in the controlled object.
