FIELD: measuring technique.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises exciting oscillations of linearly variable frequency in the resonator in the pass band and determining the quality factor of the resonator. The direction of frequency variation of the exciting signal is changed for the opposite direction at the moments of time when the amplitude of oscillations in the resonator is equal to a given threshold value, the mean frequency of the exciting signal and the frequency of modulation of the signal are measured, and the quality factor is determined from the formula presented.
EFFECT: enhanced precision.
