FIELD: metrology.

SUBSTANCE: frequency-modulated signal with frequency deviation Δϕ generated by the generator is sent to a resonator to initiate additional amplitude-modulated oscillations. An amplitude detector is now used to isolate a low-frequency component and the above oscillations minimum and maximum voltage values are measured. The data on the said minimum and maximum voltages allows calculating the resonator Q-factor which allows defining the dielectric loss tangent that, in its turn, makes it possible to judge on the physical properties of the fluid under analysis.

EFFECT: higher accuracy, simplified process of measurement.
