BACK-SCATTERED SPACED TRANSCEIVER ANTENNA ARRAY Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC H01Q21/00

Abstract RU 2312435 C1

FIELD: antenna engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed back-scattered spaced transceiver antenna array is made in the form of matrix and has master mixer whereto signals of master frequencies f and Δf are applied and its output signals of service frequencies f1 = f + Δf and f2 = f - Δf are supplied to matrix-column service-signal distributor and to matrix-line service-signal distributor, respectively. Matrix has N columns and M lines and is assembled of M-N transceiver antennas. Outputs of column service-signal distributor are connected to first inputs of N column service-signal phase shapers whose second inputs are connected to additional outputs of matrix first-line transceiver antennas and outputs of column service-signal phase shapers, to first inputs of respective-column transceiver antennas. Outputs of line service-signal distributor are connected to first inputs of M-line service-signal phase shapers whose second inputs are connected to additional outputs of matrix first-column transceiver antennas and outputs of line service-signal phase shapers, to second inputs of respective-line transceiver antennas. Third inputs of matrix transceiver antennas are integrated and function as matrix transmitting input and outputs of transceiver antennas are integrated in lines and columns by received-signal add circuit whose output functions as matrix receiving output. Column service-signal phase shapers and line service-signal phase shapers are identical in design and have mixer whose output is connected to amplifier, output of the latter being used as service-signal phase shaper. Transceiver antenna has first mixer whose output is connected to first input of second and third mixers; second input of second mixer is connected to output of first amplifier whose input is connected to circulator and functions as additional output of transceiver antenna; output of third mixer is connected to input of second amplifier whose output is connected to circulator; output of second mixer functions as transceiver antenna output and second input of third mixer functions as transmitting input.

EFFECT: minimized quantity of phase shifters.
