FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar ranging, in particular, to an active phased antenna array (APAA), which is controlled both in direction of radiation and reception, and by parameters of a probing signal operating in a Pulse-Doppler radar station (RS). Active phased antenna array comprising antenna array elements, receiving-transmitting modules (RTM), a central processing unit (CPU), which includes a reference signal generation unit (RSGU), M*K of basic array elements (BAE), including a digital processing device (DPD).
EFFECT: creation of APAA, which is scaled by the number of AAs with invariable range of elements of APAA, which does not require multiple increase in efficiency of the computer, and also provides use of probing signals of arbitrary shape.
