FIELD: agriculture, in particular, selection works.
SUBSTANCE: method involves successively treating farm crop seeds with water having contrast temperatures ranging between 0 C and 75 C and exposing to laser radiation; during treating seeds with water, directing ac current having intensity of from 0.1 A to 7 A. Method allows chromosome mutation yield to be increased and, thereby, range of produced economically valuable plant photomutants to be widened. Moreover, there are higher amounts of macro- and microelements in treated seed cells to enable enhanced activity of sprouts.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of method allowing growth and development of farm crop plants to be stimulated, and wider range of economically valuable plant photomutants produced by means of said method.
