FIELD: metallurgy, namely steel melting production.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of desulfurizing cast iron by means of palletized magnesium with degree 73.5 - 74.0% at further slagging off; while slagging off adding to melt 1.6 - 1.7% of nickel and 0.53 - 0.57% of ferromolybdenum; then beginning after-blowing of melt at temperature 1650 - 1660°C and ending it at 1700 - 1705°C while adding 0.62 - 0.64% of lime; then treating metal at correcting its chemical composition due to adding to melt carbon-containing material, nickel and necessary ferroalloys. Then melt is fed to evacuation plant and it is blown through with argon at flow rate 75 - 90 m3/h.
EFFECT: lowered labor consumption.
