FIELD: methods for making of metal components of the fragmentation ammunition casing.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in hot plastic deformation of blanks, their endurance under load up to cooling, the blanks are made of the same rated mass and shape, a coating is applied onto them of a material having the melting point lower than the melting point of the blanks metal. The blanks are placed in a thin-walled casing made f a material having the melting point higher than the melting point of the coating, and the casing with the blanks is installed in a matrix made with a cavity, whose surface is preliminarily coated with a layer of material, whose adhesion properties are lower than hose of the matrix material. The blanks are compressed by a longitudinal loading force providing deformation of the blank up to jointing of the blank surfaces, then the matrix is heated under load to a temperature exceeding the coating melting point, and the fragment-forming casing is extracted from the matrix after endurance in it up to cooling-off.
EFFECT: enhanced homogeneity of the fragmentation field.
