FIELD: surgical instruments.
SUBSTANCE: surgical instrument can be used for making seams and bandages or for clamping blood vessels. Surgical instrument has elongated holder with lateral edge recess and with ligature fixer at side surface. Ligature fixer is made in form of sloped slot in elongated holder. Slot has entrance at side of lateral edge recess, which slot is made in form of ligature guide. Part of elongated holder with sloped rest adjoins lateral edge recess. Sloped rest is disposed at the same side as sloped slot. Height of sloped rest doesn't exceed one half of lateral cross-section of part of elongated holder, which holder adjoins sloped slot at side being opposite to edge recess.
EFFECT: optimal contact of ligature and tissues and with tightened or clamped organs.
