FIELD: medicine; surgery; liver resection; resections practised to treat traumata and wounds on parenchimatous organs. SUBSTANCE: suture is practised from any suitable surface. As needle is introduced, preliminary clamps are made, thread end is fixed and drawn to occupy position on main working surface of organ being operated. Next suturing apparatus is caused to perform rotary helical movements inside parenchuma tissue depending on its thickness in cross-section (2 helical movements near margin and 3 in thicker layer). This thread end is wound up onto working portion and base of apparatus to form 2 or 3 spiral turns. At same time, on opposite surface of organ, thread is released and this thread end is drawn outside. Thereafter, opposite end of continuous thread is gripped, fixed and drawn outside by performing inverse rotary movements through spirally winding passage formed inside parenchyma tissue by preceding thread end. Next opposite thread ends are drawn apart until stitches are inserted into organ parenchyma from both surfaces, Subsequent suture applications are repeated at intervals of every 1.5-2 cm. To complete application of 8-shaped sutures, thread ends are used to apply 3- or 4-knot ligatures. For this purpose, one thread end is cut off just behind ligature, while other thread end is used to provide homeostasis between 8-shaped sutures using suturing apparatus. For this purpose, thread end is drawn through wound surface inside organ normally to 8-shaped suture projection at level of mid-height of cross-section as suturing apparatus emerges from tissue at point corresponding to next 8-shaped suture. Thread end is drawn onto wound surface at thread penetration point in such manner that thread end would surface at thread penetration point in such manner that thread end would embrace next 8-shaped suture. As further compression is exerted by drawing thread end, embraced thread portion is drawn through wound surface to be embedded in parenchyma tissue to thereby form fixation point at which thread end is embraced integral with middle of next 8-shaped suture carcass. To complete whole structure, thread end is used to apply 3 or 4 knotted sutures around originally applied 8-shaped suture, whereafter knot thus-formed is drawn through wound surface to be embedded into organ's parenchyma tissue. Present invention is also directed to surgeon's needle formed as curved sharpened rod having base 1, eyelet 6 arranged near sharpened end, neck 10 provided with ligature-applying fixative, movable sleeve arranged on neck 10, and ligature-receiving grooves 5 extending between neck 10 and sharpened tip. Proposed needle further comprises auxiliary ligature-holding fixatives arranged on neck 10, and brake adapted to decelerate movement of movable sleeve 7. Brake is made in form of atraumatic helical guide grooves 9 and 11 formed in sleeve 7 and on neck 10. Outer surface of movable sleeve 7 is formed with longitudinally extending atraumatic recesses 8. Yet additional ligature-holding grooves 13 are formed between neck 10 and blunt end of base 1, and additional ligature-holding fixatives are provided in form of slots 12. EFFECT: reliable hemostasis is ensured along path of 8-shaped sutures and in inter-suture space in parenchyma tissue; suturing operation simpler and takes less time. 2 cl, 9 dwg
