FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves separating superficial scleral flap turned with its base towards limb and exfoliating sclera beyond scleral bed region with vast scleral pocket being produced. Deep scleral flap is removed and rectangular perforated polymer material drain is implanted. The drain is manufactured as 100-200 mcm thick rectangular plate having through openings. Drain area is equal to or less than two times as small as the formed scleral pocket is.
EFFECT: hindering sclero-scleral adhesions formation; retaining produced intrascleral cavity; stable intraocular pressure compensation; prevented optical glaucomatous neuropathy.
