FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely manufacture of articles by dynamic hot pressing.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of cold pressing of porous blanks with height exceeding that of shaping cavity of die for hot pressing. Mass of article part protruding from die is equal to mass of end part of article. Dynamic hot pressing is performed with use of punch not entering in cavity of die and having shaping cavity and stationary punch. In shaping cavity of punch not entering cavity of die hot pressing of blank part protruded from die is realized till contact of punch with die. Due to common motion of punch not entering cavity of die and die relative to stationary punch, blank part being in cavity of die is compacted. Transition portion without steps between end surface and adjoined surface allows enhance quality of article.
EFFECT: improved quality of articles.
