METHOD FOR REMOVING TRIMMED ENDS OF ARTICLES SUCH AS BELT MATERIAL COILS AND SIMILAR PRODUCTS AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THE SAME Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC B26D7/18 

FIELD: apparatuses for removing waste material or trimmed ends at production of coils of coiled belt materials such as paper coils or similar material, for example for making toilet paper coils, kitchen towels and similar articles.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes at least one solid flexible member carrying row of contact members for articles matched one to other; section of movable flexible member without contact members for providing falling of tail and front trimmed ends; at least one lengthwise supporting member for supporting article arranged in parallel to movable flexible member; and at least one pusher for introducing row of articles with respective trimmed ends between flexible member and lengthwise supporting member. Articles are moved in contact with lengthwise supporting member and contact members of flexible member. The last is controlled due to changing speed at which section having no contact members each time achieves level of tail and front trimmed ends of two succession of articles.

EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced operational reliability of apparatus, effective and reliable removal of tail and front trimmed ends of articles.
