FIELD: construction, particularly to erect impervious diaphragms and enclosing walls in weak water-saturated sandy-argillaceous ground.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises paired guiding means and working tools installed on each guiding means, pulp removing means, spring members and cross-arm. The cross-arm is arranged on pulp removing means and may reciprocate. Pulp removing means is fixedly connected to guiding means. Working tools are made as toothed chain having the first end connected to guiding means through spring member and the second end secured to cross-arm through control rod. Working tools are brought into engagement with sprockets carried by guiding means so that the sprockets may rotate in opposite directions. Method involves erecting two diaphragm member rows by cutting slots in ground under mud solution protection so that the slots are spaced a distance less than slot length; filling the slots with concrete to form the first diaphragm member row; forming the second diaphragm member row by cutting slots in ground in staggered order under mud solution protection so that the second slots are formed between the first diaphragm member row and are overlapped therewith; filling the second slots with concrete for lock creation.

EFFECT: simplified structure and increased ground stability.
