FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing and adjusting of fuel systems of diesel engines and it is designed for determining angle of commencement of fuel injection by nozzle. According to proposed method angle of commencement of fuel injection by nozzle is determined by direction of rotation of camshaft of high-pressure fuel pump on test stand by electric pulse formed by injection commencement sensor. Electric pulse is formed owing to action of jet of injected fuel onto sensor contact which controls electric circuit of flash lamp of stroboscope (or electronic measuring unit). Value of angle of injection is red off from graduated scale of movable disk of flywheel (on digital indicator of electronic measuring unit) and value of angle of commencement of fuel injection opposite to direction of rotation of camshafts of hinge-pressure fuel injection pump is determined additionally on test by electric pulse formed by fuel injection sensor which is read off from graduated scale of movable disk of flywheel (or digital indicator of electronic measuring unit.) average value between two values read off from graduated scale of disk (or digital indicator of electronic measuring unit) is taken as angle corresponding to moment of coincidence of axis of cam profile with axis of plunger of section of high-pressure fuel injection pump (initial point of reading off), and angle between values of angles read off from graduated scale of disk (or digital indicator of electronic measuring unit) corresponding to initial point of reading and commencement of fuel injection by nozzle in direction of rotation of camshaft of high pressure fuel injection pump is taken as actual of angle of commencement of fuel injection by nozzle.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of measurement of angle of commencement of fuel injection by nozzle.
