FIELD: motors and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine building, in particular to means for diagnosing and regulating fuel equipment of diesel internal combustion engines. Nominal mode of the engine is achieved by transferring it to work with a flow of fuel passes, at which the capacity of the working cylinders is sufficient only to overcome the mechanical losses. Diagnosis and regulation is performed on the engine in production conditions without the use of special adjustment stands.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the accuracy of diagnostics and regulation of fuel equipment by conducting them at the rated operating mode of the engine and creating a counterpressure to fuel injection identical to that available in the engine cylinder.
