FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: one should detect pulse rate upon radial artery per 1 min after 15-min-long rest. Adaptation potential should be calculated according to the following equation: AP=1.238+0.09-PR, where AP - adaptation potential in conventional units (points), PR - pulse rate, beats/min; 1.238 and 0.09 - equation coefficients. At AP value being below 7.2 points one should evaluate adaptation level as satisfactory, at AP ranged 7.21-8.24 points - the tension of adaptation mechanisms, at AP ranged 8.25-9.85 points - unsatisfactory adaptation, at AP being above 9.86 points - the interruption of adaptation mechanisms. The innovation enables to study a wide range of patients and does not decrease the quality in evaluating adaptation level.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of evaluation.
