FIELD: medicine, surgery.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with evaluating functional state of a vagus nerve after gastric operations for early predicting the causes of gastric hypokinesia and gastrostasis, rehabilitation in patients in post-surgical period. One should study gastric motor function. Electrostimulation of vagus nerve should be fulfilled cutaneously on the neck in projection of vagus nerve's trunk along anterior edge of sternocleidomastoid muscle at applying electroneurostimulant due to placing two electrodes on the neck in projection of vagus nerve. Electrostimulation should be fulfilled with rectangular impulses at 50 Hz frequency for 60 sec. Basic motor system should be investigated due to balloonographic technique, and then for 30 min after stimulation in the body and in antral department. According to the presence of motor response one should conclude upon the integrity of vagus nerve's branches.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of evaluation.
