SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology. Method for calculating optical power of a multifocal intraocular lens based on keratotopographic mapping data, during which keratometry is carried out and optical power of a multifocal intraocular lens is calculated using formulas SRK/T, Kane, EVO 2, Holladay 1, Holladay 2, Hoffer Q, Olsen, Barret 2 Universal and Hill RBF. For the calculation, the average keratometry value in 4.5, 5.0 mm zones is substituted into the Kane formula, the keratometry value in 4.0 mm zone is substituted into EVO 2 and Holladay 1 formulas, and into formulas Holladay 2, Hoffer Q, SRK/T, Olsen, Barrett 2 Universal, Hill RBF average keratometry value is substituted in zones 4.0, 4.5, 5.0 mm, after which the average value of the optical power of the multifocal intraocular lens is calculated from those obtained by each formula.

EFFECT: high accuracy of calculating the strength of a multifocal intraocular lens.
