OPTICALLY CHANGEABLE ELEMENT Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC B42D15/00 B42D15/10

Abstract RU 2314210 C2

FIELD: optically changeable elements for ensuring protection of documents.

SUBSTANCE: optically changeable elements for ensuring protection of documents is composed of adjacent sections of substrate surface. Surface sections have achromatic surface structures with different characteristics of dissipation, reflection and/or diffraction and are combined with thin-film structure by means of mutual application onto one another. Visible effect of achromatic structure is applied to visible interference effect of thin-film structure, ensuring given change of color on change of direction of lighting of substrate with white light. When element is turned or tilted, observer observes certain, practically discontinuous change of colors.

EFFECT: increased efficiency.
