FIELD: transport engineering; tire treads.
SUBSTANCE: according to invention, more hard rubber of tread is located in form of circumferential strips passing at least in side zones of tread inside layer of soft rubber. Holes for studs pass through thus formed strips of intermediate base into elastic layer limited by strips of intermediate base so that lower flanges of studs to be fitted in holes for studs are located completely under lower surface of strips of intermediate base inside elastic layer of rubber of tread outer part or layer of more soft rubber. Narrow parts of studs are enclosed by material of intermediate base. Design makes it possible to use more sift rubber of outer part of tread in surface layer to improve adhesion with road.
EFFECT: improved holding of stud, reduced effort required to drive studs to level of tread plane, reduced noise caused by studs.
