FIELD: car tires.
SUBSTANCE: anti-skid stud (10) for a car tire (1) contains an anti-skid stud body containing a lower flange (14) at the lower end of the stud body, and a rod (13) extending from the lower flange. The anti-slip stud (10) contains a stud cover (20) containing an inner surface (25) and an outer surface (26). The thickness (t20) of the stud lining is from 0.4 to 3 mm. The stud pad (20) is located at least partially under the specified lower flange (14), and the area of the inner surface (25) of the stud pad (20) is at least 10% of the area of the bottom surface of the lower flange of the anti-skid stud. The overlay (20) of the anti-slip stud contains or is made of a polymeric material, wherein the polymeric material is made with the possibility of softening at high temperatures so that the hardness of the stud overlay is not more than 55 Shore at an ambient temperature of +22°C, and with the possibility of hardening at low temperatures so that the hardness of the stud lining is at least 70 Shore at an ambient temperature of -25°C. The invention also relates to a studded pneumatic tire for an automobile and the use of a polymeric material in an anti-skid stud for an automobile tire.
EFFECT: reduction of road surface wear with satisfactory grip of the tire on a winter road.
