FIELD: testing engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises parameters of vibration acoustic signal, extracting components corresponding to the defects and failures, correcting amplitude-phase characteristics of the signal in accordance with the parameters of the amplitude-phase characteristics of the channel for transmitting vibration acoustic information appropriate to the measured amplitude of the signal, and comparing the values obtained with the permissible values. The amplitude and phase of components of spectral signal realization as well as frequency components are used as diagnostic components.
