FIELD: bridge thyristor inverters for loads like electric arc welding transformers.
SUBSTANCE: device features control system which allows to exclude idle drive and low load modes, making it possible to realize the inverter on common SCR thyristors and without reverse diode bridge. Constant component in the load of claimed inverter is removed by capacitor, coupled serially with primary winding of welding transformer.
EFFECT: simplification, reduced losses and increased frequency.
