FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves setting electric current and potential electrodes on human body extremities. Probing alternating current is supplied and impedance is measured. Its value is interpreted in terms of physiological parameters of region under study. Additional electrodes are set on patient head. Alternator is connected in turn to current electrodes arranged on head E, right arm R, left arm L, left leg F, right leg N; voltmeter is connected to potential electrodes in bioimpedance leads collection. Superposition impedance calculation is carried out on the whole trunk from neck to inguinal region and slow or pulsating impedance changes are measured on the whole trunk. Superposition impedance calculation is carried out on the thoracic region from neck to xiphoid process of the chest by subtracting head and abdominal region impedances and slow or pulsating thoracic region impedance changes from head and trunk region impedances. Then, fluid and blood dynamics magnitude and direction are estimated in each region and next to it, fluid and blood dynamics magnitude and direction are estimated.
EFFECT: high accuracy in quantitatively estimating fluid and blood redistribution in the regions both in magnitude and direction.
