FIELD: field railway transport; carriage by rail.
SUBSTANCE: lock to connect containers by corner fittings at two-tier transportation has flat base with projecting guide cones and mushroom-shaped locking heads installed for limited turning through 90° on vertical axle manually by handle. Handle is rigidly secured on vertical axle. Flat base is provided with detent and cutout which accommodates handle installed for turning in horizontal plane between operating and idling positions. Lock is furnished with arc-shaped guide rigidly secured from outer side under two cut out ends of flat base to enclose cutout. Slot is made at one side of arc-shaped guide. Handle of lock consists of two articulated parts. Free end of second part is installed for turning in vertical plane downwards and locking is slot of arc-shaped guide relative to final angle of turning of handle in operating position. Height of flat base is found from mathematical formula.
EFFECT: simplified design, improved reliability of lock in operation.
