FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy, in particular, tin-and-zinc bronze used in the form of wire for manufacture of flexible members to be inserted into critical electric sockets.
SUBSTANCE: tin-and-zinc bronze contains, wt%: tin 3.5-4.0; zinc 2.7-3.3; titanium 0.02-0.12; iron 0.004-0.02; copper, and admixtures the balance, with admixtures constituting no more than 0.2.
EFFECT: optimum combination of strength and plastic properties of bronze satisfying requirements set forth to wire for manufacture of highly critical products.
