FIELD: hydraulic structures, particularly flood-control riverside and coastal engineering structures.
SUBSTANCE: flood control structure comprises continuous row composed of hinged sheets adapted to be rotated and retained in working positions on panels connected to support blocks built in upper parts of flood-control dam, bank slope or quay and provided with depressions. Device includes drain pipes with one-way check valve and pushers. Sheets are hollow and have profiled side ends. Each sheet comprises mouth arranged on panels. The mouth has inner longitudinal partitions defining water-inlet orifices in sheet ends facing water area. The water-inlet orifices are adapted to intake water from water area and are closed with spring-loaded lids. Each sheet also has plates and vessel having orifices closed with spring-loaded lids. Outlet orifice of each drain pipe is located over normal water level in water area. Longitudinal sealing members are installed in place of panel, hinge and sheet connection along total row thereof. Upper removable lids are secured over support block depressions. Reinforced inclined side surface has slope facing including panels tightly joined with each other.
EFFECT: provision of automatic reliable flood control of flood-hazardous territories.
