POWER UNIT TO DRIVE HIGH-PRESSURE PUMP Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC F02B63/06 F04B17/05

Abstract RU 2315190 C1

FIELD: oil and gas producing industries.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of minerals and, particularly to power units for driving high pressure pumping plants. Used as transmission in power unit is small-size tank planetary gearbox installed coaxially to engine crankshaft and connected by primary shaft, through connecting shaft and safety clutch, with crankshaft nose. One-row gear reduction unit is mounted on flange of gearbox case pointed to engine, on output shafts of which hydraulic pumps are installed for forced lubrication of high-pressure pump and lubrication of gearbox, and hydraulic pump to supply hydraulic motor of radiator cooling centrifugal fan drive. Input shaft of reduction unit is connected through splines with gearbox primary shaft, with provision of preset operating conditions of hydraulic pumps irrespective of shifted-in gear in gearbox. Engine liquid cooling radiator, engine oil cooler and transmission oil cooler are arranged on common rack over one of engine cylinder blocks. Centrifugal fan is arranged in cavity under the same cylinder block and is connected by pressure main line, formed by flat air duct mounted at side of engine within the limits of self-propellant chassis, with said radiator and coolers with possibility of cooling by blowing. Engine of power unit is furnished with remote starting and control systems, and system to discharge exhaust gases is provided with cylindrical manifold with built-in spark quenching devices and diesel fuel remnants and gum-like combustion products collector.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of cooling, fire safety and operating characteristics.
