FIELD: petrophysical evaluation of subterranean formations.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, porosity and penetrability of formation are determined with usage of quantitative formation composition characteristic. Specific electric resistance of water-filled formation is determined with usage of aforementioned formation porosity. Differences between measured electric specific resistance of formation and aforementioned evaluated electric specific resistance of water-filled formation are matched with presence of underground congregations of hydrocarbons. Saturation of formation with remainder water is evaluated using aforementioned formation porosity and aforementioned formation penetrability.
EFFECT: increased reliability of evaluation.
