FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves piercing loose peritracheal cellular tissue layer with needle close to passing nerve. The needle pierce is carried out at the level of 4-5 thoracic vertebra from inside of the trachea in the middle of its right semicircle in the fourth intercartilaginous space from its bifurcation. The needle is brought close to trachea pierce place. Its wall is punctured at an angle of 10-15°. Its end is positioned in the loose peritracheal cellular tissue layer 1-2 mm far from trachea wall near the right vagus nerve stem.
EFFECT: high accuracy in delivering anesthetic solution to the nerve.
