METHOD FOR LOCAL ANESTHESIA DURING FLEXIBLE BRONCHOSCOPY Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61M19/00 A61K31/245 A61P23/02

Abstract RU 2753138 C1

FIELD: medicine, endoscopic studies in particular.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to endoscopic studies. At the first stage, a 1% lidocaine solution in the amount of 2-3 drops is installed in both nostrils once in the nasal cavity on both sides at the height of a deep breath; simultaneously with the nasal installation, the oropharyngeal zone is irrigated with a single dose of 10% lidocaine aerosol containing 4.6 mg of an active anesthetic; at the second stage, 10 minutes after the first, a 5% lidocaine solution is injected through a specially conducted flushing tube through the biopsy channel of the bronchoscope. At the second stage, a 5% lidocaine solution is administered at the rate of 1 ml per fold separately at the time of opening the folds, and the volume of the anesthetic that provides anesthesia for one fold is administered twice, 0.5 ml of a 5% solution at intervals of 40-60 seconds, after inhibiting the movement of the folds, the bronchoscope together with the inserted flushing tube is carried into the trachea. At the third stage, anesthesia of the flow divider carina of the trachea is performed by a single irrigation of 1 ml of a 5% lidocaine solution. And at the fourth stage, the spurs of the right and left upper lobe bronchi are irrigated alternately with 0.5 ml of a 5% lidocaine solution.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to reliably suppress the cough reflex, ensure the safety of the study, a full visual endobronchial examination of the tracheobronchial tree and the possibility of performing additional diagnostic endobronchial manipulations; prevent the development of systemic complications caused by the introduction of lidocaine.
