FIELD: calendaring processes and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes housing, mounted in housing driving shaft with drive unit and at least one driven shaft. Each shaft has riffled surface with mutually crossing and alternating rows of recesses and protrusions forming pyramidal tetrahedral shape. Driven shaft is mounted with possibility of engaging with adjacent riffled surface of driving shaft. Riffled surfaces of driving and driven shafts have grooves arranged between adjacent rows of protrusions and formed by abutted surfaces of protrusions of adjacent rows. Apexes of protrusions are formed with possibility of arranging in their grooves engaged protrusions of driving and driven shafts. Grooves of riffled surface of driven shaft are directed in such a way that they cross direction of grooves of riffled surface of driving shaft in position of engagement of protrusions of driving and driven shafts.
EFFECT: possibility for high-accuracy embossing with different arrangement of relief members at shortened spacing between embossed relief members.
